20 and 30 minute studies

20 Minute study painting - Through previous semesters I found that studies really help me to stay refreshed and to remind myself of certain areas to focus on when painting concept work. I've started to keep an eye on the time it takes to paint these studies and I'm now also thinking about ways to cut down on time while painting. For example before doing this study while painting my previous piece I noticed I'd spent far to long looking for the right brush to use. So before starting this study I made a folder in my brushes of my most currently used brushes and made sure to keep the amount limited. Another time saver was blocking out simplistic shapes with the lasso tool to get started such as the roof and front of the barn.

30 Minute Study painting - This was done previously to the one above where I spent too long looking for brushes instead of actually painting. However I feel I was still able to capture the essence of the refrence used and was interested in looking at painting water reflection/light
