Project progress

Here's some more progress I've had with the project. Since my more experimental design pieces I've toned it back down a little but still keep trying to push aspects a little bit without them becoming overly drastic. With the canyon piece I wanted to bring back some of the bright colours that I used in my previous mini study project where I focused on a few canyon paintings and made them look more vibrant with colour. I wanted to have a lighter and less dark mood to one of my paintings. The frontier was a rough time but the landscape was still beautiful at times, I wanted a piece to show that amongst all the other paintings that have more of a darker brooding atmosphere to them.

From this stage in the project I was not looking to make anymore drastic changes as the end was in sight and I just wanted to get more done and to create a set of images that could be displayed alongside each other and look like they could connect.
