I chose to do this image as a study because I was interested in the cut of light that appear through the image and the over all composition of the piece. It also gave me a chance to get the balance of lighter and darker tones right in this piece compared to the piece I previously painted. This time I wanted to make sure I wasn't shying away from the darker tones in order to really help the areas that are hit by the light pop out and look bright. I feel that this time around I was more successful as a result from building upon what I had learnt from the previous study.
